Provision of clean and affordable energy services and systems presents a major opportunity to enhance quality of life for off-grid communities and individuals in the developing world. The most recent report on renewable energy in the Canadian Arctic by the World Wildlife Fund suggests that it could produce major amounts of emission reductions - as well as cost savings - in five Nunavut communities. (WWF)
