AE4H is proud to announce that we have ranked in the Top 200 of the 100&Change MacArthur grant proposal competition
The Affordable Energy for Humanity Global Change Initiative was created as a platform for research and development of innovative energy technologies with the ultimate goal of making energy poverty a thing of the past. This challenging target not only has clarity of purpose, it is a metric against which progress can be measured. Realization of our vision rests on critical advances in the scientific and technological capacity to deliver innovations on a scale large enough to reach every global citizen.
Through this initiative we seek to bring into sharp focus the need for development of a cleaner, low carbon energy system that is as responsive to the threat of climate change as it is to the needs of the some 2.5 billion who have very little or no access to energy.
It is because of our belief that all of humanity deserves the right to affordable, clean energy that we answered the call for proposals from the 100&Change MacArthur Foundation with the purpose of developing energy solutions that are scalable, available at a low cost and sustainable. This philanthropic competition drew 7084 registrants from all fields of study with the intention of providing $100 million in funding to a single proposal that promises real and measurable progress in solving a critical problem of our time.
We are proud to announce that our proposal scored in the Top 200 and can now be counted among a variety of thoughtful, creative and impactful submissions that can be viewed on the 100&Change Results page. We invite our members to explore the project submissions and join us in celebrating this exciting accomplishment.
