About
I am a PhD student at the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT-ITAS) since September 2018. My research project focuses on Developing a solar energy system for the Mixteca area in the State of Puebla, Mexico.
The research combines the Cross-Impact Balance (CIB) method to identify main elements promoting but also impeding such an energy system transformation with the Integrated Concept of Sustainability (ICoS) to assess the possible strategies regarding their sustainability.
Low carbon transition pathways analysis inevitably involves a consideration of the future technological, economic, political, and social changes. The ultimate aim entails an increase in life standards to reduce poverty in such rural area.
I am a 2018 CONACYT-DAAD fellow scholar from Puebla, Mexico where I received my M.Eng. in Environmental Engineering at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) with a dissertation on a photovoltaic compounds proposal for thin film solar cells. My research areas of interest lie on the solar energy access as a mean to alleviate vulnerability and poverty in rural areas.
