The Affordable Energy for Humanity Global Change Initiative is a global consortium of researchers and practitioners committed to ending energy poverty through the sustainable deployment of clean technology. Since its founding in 2015 by core partners at the University of Waterloo (Canada) and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany), AE4H has grown to over 150 members from 50 institutions in 25 counties. Members develop innovations and proliferate insights on technologies, policies, business models, socio-cultural issues, and many other aspects of clean energy deployment in communities facing energy poverty across the globe. AE4H brings members together through workshops, conferences and other meetings, on joint projects to scope and develop impactful interventions, and through supporting the involvement of students and other stakeholders in the emerging energy access sector.
